About SNIP

SNIP is a High-Quality High-Volume Spay and Neuter (HQHVSN) Clinic located in Portage, Indiana. We are in a warehouse style building located at 6625 Daniel Burnham Dr. Portage, IN 46368; our facility is located in Suite C.

Spay and Neuter Appointments

Appointment Information

  • Outpatient surgical procedures for cats and dogs under 65 lb.

  • Vaccine Packages: Vaccine packages are available for cats and dog.

  • Check-In Time:

    • Dogs: 8-8:30 am

    • Cats: 8:30-9 am

  • Booking Process:

    • Spay and neuter appointments can be booked up to 4 weeks in advance on a first-come, first-serve basis via prepaid appointments.

    • Appointments must be booked online through our website.

    • Payment in full is due at the time of booking.

    • Rabies Vaccination: All owners are required to add the one-year rabies vaccine service ($25) to appointments when booking online unless a current rabies vaccination certificate is provided.

    • E-Collar Recommendation: We recommend adding on a plastic e-collar ($15) for your pet. This plastic cone helps prevent them from licking their incision during the 10-14 day healing period.

  • Cancellation Policy:

    • There is a $25 cancellation/no-show fee.

  • New Appointment Availability:

    • If there are no appointments currently available, new online appointments go live on our website Weekday mornings at 7 am.

Check-In Procedures

Dogs:

  • Check-In Time: 8-8:30 am

  • Arrival Instructions: Park and send us a text at 219-706-4554 and let us know you've arrived and we will text you when it is your turn to come in. Please let us know if you need assistance bringing your dog into the building. 

  • Vehicle Flashers: Please turn on your car's flashers upon arrival.

Cats:

  • Check-In Time: 8:30-9am

  • Arrival Instructions: If your cat is in a carrier and you arrive between 8:30 and 9am, you may enter the building and check in. If you need assistance or arrive before 8:30am, please park and send us a text at 219-706-4554.

  • Vehicle Flashers: Please turn on your car's flashers upon arrival if you need assistance.

  • Carrier Requirement: Cats must arrive in a cat carrier or small live animal trap.

Pickup Time Confirmation

  • A specific pickup time will be given to you at check-in, but dogs typically go home around 12-1pm and cats 1-3:30pm.
